Minnesota Planned Giving Council Annual Conference

“Philanthropy in Practice”

In addition to the July 31 seminar, Abraham (with senior partner Robert Chandler) will speak at the annual conference of the Minnesota Planned Giving Council a few months from now on Nov. 16.

This will be an advanced session on the topic of accepting gifts of real estate. As per the MPGC site, “This presentation is designed to give charitable organizations a road map for accepting gifts of real estate.”

In addition to a thorough description of the issues facing charities accepting real estate gifts, Robert and Abraham will describe two case studies that illustrate common issues in this area:

  • Lifetime transfer of real estate
  • Transfer of real estate at death
